    The Bahamas is a group of about 700 islands, atolls and cays (pronounced “keys”) in the western Atlantic Ocean, of which only 30 are inhabited. Andros Island, the largest islands of The Bahamas, has an area greater than all the other Bahamian islands combined. More than two-thirds of Bahamian population live on the island of New Providence, which is home to the capital of The Bahamas, Nassau
